Key West restaurants are amongst the best in the Country and there are far too many to include here but we wanted to give you a sample of some of favorites.  Key West restaurants cater to most palates and range from casual to very fine dining although even in our most high end restaurants Key West casual is an acceptable dress code.  We hope this list helps you to find what you are looking for.

Antonia’s – 615 Duval Street, Key West.  (305) 294 6565.  Regional Italian cuisine in a more formal, fine dining setting.  Their European trained chefs prepare Italian classics and modern Mediterranean cuisine using the finest fresh and imported ingredients.    Wonderful food complimented by a fine wine list. Open for dinner only.

A & B Lobster House – 700 Front Street, Key West.  (305) 294 5880.  Infamous Key West Ocean Front dining since the 1940’s.  Well known for their many signature seafood dishes served in elegant surroundings, located by the Historic Key West Seaport.  A & B offer not only a memorable fine dining experience but a step back in time to the era of the classic supper clubs.  Open for dinner only.

Azur Restaurant – 425 Grinnell Street, Key West.  (305) 292 2987.  A delicious mix of American and European cuisine, Azur has inside and outside dining looking out across Fleming Street.  Open for breakfast, lunch, dinner and including Sunday Brunch this is another local’s favorite which not only offers great food but great value as well.  A mouthwatering menu offers something for everyone with dishes steeped in flavor and creativity.

The Café – 509 Southard Street, Key West.  (305) 296 5515.  Mainly vegetarian although they do offer chicken, fish and seafood dishes.  Freshly prepared healthy food served inside in the a/c and they also deliver.  There food is always well appreciated even by carnivores who have discovered that with the right preparation vegetarian food can actually be delicious.  Open for lunch and dinner.

Camille’s – 1202 Simonton Street, Key West.  (305) 296 4811.  A mix of gourmet and classic American cuisine, this family friendly restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and dinner with something for everyone.  Describing themselves as “exotic family cooking with no boundaries” this is certainly one of the locals favorites where you can experience good food at a reasonably good price.

Caroline’s– 310 Street, Key West.  (305) 294 7511.  Great prices, great food and great location!  Right in the heart of all the action and a great people watching spot.  A menu to suit all tastes with favorites of shrimp po boy and their spicy blackened chicken pasta.  Reservations not necessary.  They also deliver.  Open for lunch and dinner.

El Siboney – 900 Catherine Street, Key West.  (305) 296 4184.  The local’s choice for good, authentic  Cuban food, served in a casual setting.  El Siboney offers a variety of Cuban dishes to eat in or take out and is open for lunch or dinner.  This family owned and operated business does not take reservations but any delay in getting a table is always worth it.

The Grand Cafe – 314 Duval Street, Key West.  (305) 292 4740.  Offering not only an excellent food selection for both lunch and diner but also an extensive wine list along with specialty cocktails to satisfy all tastes.  Offering both inside and outside seating you can enjoy fine dining selections at inexpensive prices whilst watching the world go by on Key West’s famous Duval Street.  Winner of the 2005 Wine Spectator Award, this restaurant is worth a visit not only to sample its culinary delights but also to soak up the atmosphere of our unique Island.

Half Shell Raw Bar – 231 Margaret Street, Key West.  (305) 294 7496.  Set on the Waterfront in the historic seaport district this traditional fish and seafood house has been voted the best raw bar in South Florida and is in the top 6 of the national ranking.  A Key West institution this is a must for any visitor wanting to experience seafood as it should be; fresh, simply served and in the most casual of settings, overlooking the water.  Recently taken over by Pat Croce this popular oceanfront favorite is always fun and tasty!  Open for lunch and dinner.

Help Yourself – 829 Fleming Street, Key West.  (305) 296 7766.  Organic food and juice bar.  Fresh and natural hot and cold food available to take out or eat on their small outside patio.  Catering for mainly vegetarians and vegans they also have gluten free choices on their menu and a great selection of fresh juices and smoothies all made to order.  A definite must for the health conscious diner.  Open for breakfast and lunch.

Hot Tin Roof at the Ocean Key House – zero Duval Street, Key West. (305) 296 7701.  Key West’s newest addition to the list of excellent fine dining restaurants.  Inside and outside dining is available overlooking the Gulf of Mexico and right next to Mallory Square.  An interesting menu featuring tropical and Caribbean cuisine intermingled with some Latin, French and Asian influences.  Conch fusion at it’s best.  Open for dinner.

Kelly’s Caribbean – 301 whitehead Street, Key West.  (305) 293 8484.  Kelly McGillis’s infamous bar and grille which occupies the original home of Pan American Airways just steps from Duval Street.  With indoor and outdoor seating available the restaurant is most popular for its tropical garden setting and good yet reasonably priced Caribbean and classic American cuisine.

Latitudes on Sunset Key – 245 Front Street, Key West.  (305) 292 5394.  With access via a shuttle boat from the Hilton Marina this restaurant is worth a visit for it’s location alone.  Situated on the beautiful shores of Sunset Key, Latitudes is truly a beach cafe during the day offering breakfast and lunch with a Caribbean flair.  However, during the evening it transforms into a more formal fine dining experience with a first class menu offering a variety of different cuisines.

Louie’s Backyard – 700 Waddell Avenue, Key West.  (305) 294 1061.  Tucked away alongside the Atlantic Ocean this has been a favorite of visitors and locals alike for many years.  Known for their fabulous seafood specials Louie’s offers a varied menu with a Caribbean and International theme.  Open for brunch, lunch and dinner with inside and outside dining available, Louie’s offers something for everyone.

La Trattoria – 524 Duval Street, Key West.  (305) 296 1075.  Offering a true taste of Italy La Trattoria is located right in the middle of Duval Street with it’s fashionable, Jazz bar,  Virgilios, nestled directly behind.  Italian cuisine at it’s best complimented by an extensive wine list this restaurant leaves you with a memorable experience whether you book a romantic dinner for two, or take a group of people to soak up the fun atmosphere.  Open for dinner.

Martin’s Cafe Restaurant – 416 Applerouth Lane, Key West.  (305) 296 1183.  Quaint, European style restaurant with indoor dining and popular outdoor dining in their secluded tropical garden area.  Offering mainly German cuisine with a mix of popular classics, Martin’s is one of a kind.  good food and service .  Famous for their fabulous Sunday brunch, they are also open for dinner and have recently added a tapas menu.

Michael’s – 532 Margaret Street, Key West.  (305) 295 1300.  Tucked away in the heart of the historic district this Key West tradition offers a classic menu featuring meat, fish and seafood dishes but they are best known for their steaks which are flown in specially from Chicago.  They are also renowned for their delicious fondue served at their garden bar.  Inside and outside dining available. Open for dinner.

New York Pizza and Pasta Deli – 1075 Duval Street (in Duval Square).  (305) 292 1991.  The restaurant has mainly outside dining and is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner.  They offer one of the least expensive breakfasts on the Island followed by satisfying salads or sandwiches for lunch.  In the evening the menu is mainly pasta based with good, fresh dishes on offer with large portions.  Simple, good food which will always satisfy the larger appetite.

Nine One Five – 915 Duval Street, Key West. (305) 296 0669.  Inside and outside dining with a popular front porch location overlooking the buzz of Duval Street.  This restaurant offers excellent food comprising New American cuisine with a Mediterranean influence and has a menu to suit many different tastes.  The food is guaranteed to be fresh and made to order and contains the best, natural ingredients available.  Choose from small plates to share or delicious, satisfying entrees all topped off with fine wines and the most wonderful desserts.  Amazing service will complete your 915 experience.  One of our favorites this restaurant comes highly recommended.  You an also check out their upstairs cocktail bar, .5, which also serves food and has indoor and outdoor seating.

Pepe’s Cafe and Steak House – 806 Caroline Street, Key West.  (305) 294 7192.  Located across from the Key West Seaport, Pepe’s offer a true taste of Key West with its good food and friendly, laid back atmosphere.  With inside and outside dining the restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers a simple menu of mouthwatering classic and island dishes.

Pisces – 1007 Simonton Street, Key West.  (305) 294 7100.  Formerly known as Cafe des Artiste this boutique style fine dining restaurant offers an intimate atmosphere with award winning seafood specials complimented with selected meat and fowl dishes.  Famous for it’s signature dish, Lobster Tango Mango and it’s impressive collection of Andy Warhol artwork. Open for dinner.

Seven Fish – 632 Olivia Street, Key West.  (305) 296 2777.  Cozy backstreet bistro offering the most fabulous fish dishes with some tasty alternatives for the meat eater.  The restaurant is small and simple and could easily be missed when passing by.  The food is simply incredible and you will need a reservation.  Open for dinner.

Salsa Loca – 411 Petronia Street, Key West.  (305) 292 1865.  Great Mexican food in a fun environment with the choice of inside or outside dining.  Extensive menu offered with a full bar and great wine based margaritas .  This restaurant is one of Key West’s more recent success stories and has made itself a local favorite with it’s combination of good food and attentive service.  Open for lunch and dinner.

Santiago’s Bodega – 207 Petronia Street, Key West.  (305) 296 7691.  Be sure to book to make sure you do not miss out on this hidden gem located just 2.5 blocks off Duval.  Extraordinary tapas restaurant offering the best food at reasonable prices with both inside and outside dining.  A local’s favorite, you will have plenty to choose from and we guarantee you will come back for more next time you are in Key West.  This is a unique dining experience that should be savored and works well whether you are looking for a romantic dinner for two or wish to enjoy and share with a group of friends.  Not to be missed!  Another one of our favorites, this restaurant comes highly recommended.

Square One – 1075 Duval Street (in Duval Square), Key West.  (305) 296 4300.  A fabulous mix of fine dining and fun will great you at this old Key West favorite.  Tasteful, elegant surroundings with a mix of romantic and playful tunes on the piano compliment the first class menu which offers a wonderful choice of American classics with a Caribbean influence.  Everything is very good at Square One from the cocktails and extensive wine list to the great food and professional service.  Open for Happy Hour and  dinner.  Recently under new ownership with great new menu items and added creativity.

The Square Grouper – Mile Marker 22.2, US 1 at Cudjoe Key.  (305) 745 8888.  Nearly 23 miles North of Key West but definitely worth a mention for anyone who is traveling up the Keys.  Look for mile marker 22 and shortly after you will see the entrance on your right.  This very unassuming restaurant is simply decorated and laid out inside but offers a unique menu mainly centered around fish and seafood.  An unexpected treat for anybody’s palate.
