Havana Lane a Key West retreat

Havana Lane a Key West retreat

Havana Lane is a charming Key West retreat just waiting to sooth away your day to day stress.

Thoughtfully restored, Havana Lane, hearkens back to a time when cigar makers lived in the neighborhood, gathering on porch stoops to pass on the latest news.  Near the notorious Key West Cemetery this classic conch cottage, embodies the essence of rustic charm while offering modern amenities and style.  Centrally located in an Old Town residential neighborhood the cottage is just a few blocks away from the White Street Art District.  For shopping and nightlife, you can easily walk or bike to Duval Street and the Historic Seaport.

Dade County Pine walls and eclectic artwork compliment the artistic design of this tropical cottage. With two bedrooms, an open-air design living, dining and kitchen space, the cottage comfortably accommodates up to 4 people.  The cathedral ceilings enhance the open feel of the cottage as do the stylish French doors that open out to the multilevel deck. The deck boasts tropical foliage and an inviting free form swimming pool, perfect for relaxing and relishing in your vacation.  Whether lazing with a good book in the cozy living room, cooking up freshly caught fish in the sizable kitchen, or sunbathing on the deck amidst the hibiscus, Havana Lane is a charming and casual Key West retreat.

Key West is located approximately 150 miles South of Miami and can be reached by road, sea or air.  The overseas highway, also known as US 1 runs from Florida City all the way to the Southernmost City but is mainly one lane which makes the journey longer, taking approximately 3 ½ hours.  However, this is a road trip that everyone should experience once in a lifetime as the drive through the Keys is linked by numerous bridges showcasing the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other. Cars are not necessarily needed when staying in Old Town Key West and in fact parking is sometimes difficult and expensive.  Walking and cycling are preferred means of transportation although you could also hire a scooter or electric car if preferred.

Key West is a popular destination and often busy all year round.  The main season is the busiest and that generally runs from the start of the Christmas Holidays through to the end of April.  However, the spring and summer months also get booked and there are often events throughout the year which bring in many extra visitors and sometimes drive prices a little higher.  Feel free to check in with us before finalizing your dates.
Key West is not an inexpensive destination and your accommodation dollars will not get you as much here as they do in other parts of Florida, or other parts of the Country.  However, Key West is a unique and diverse destination and a place where you are sure to have an amazing vacation and many travelers return here year after year.  Indeed, many locals started as excited tourists who eventually just could not bring themselves to leave!  The Southernmost City is America’s favorite tropical island and allows you a Caribbean experience without even leaving the country.
